Bike Prep

Basic requirements :

  • Check your tires. Worn out tires are extremely dangerous and we take this seriously. Minimum requirement is 50% or more life left in them.

  • Check your brake pads. 50% life or more

  • Remove motorcycle mirrors. If this task is complicated on your machine, you can tape them up with painter’s tape or duct tape.

  • Taping headlights is optional (this comes from way back in the day when light housings were made from glass. We would rather you disconnect it if possible. Light housings are made of plastic, so we aren’t worried about it shattering in the event of a fall, we just don’t wanna see your blinding lights. Tail lights are optional, if you wanna unplug em great, if you wanna tape them go for it.

  • Wheel weights must be covered with duct tape.

  • Double check if your motorcycle controls (throttle, brake, clutch, shifter) are working properly and are not loose.

  • Make sure you have proper chain tension. 1″ to 1.5″ of slack is ideal. Chains that are too loose or too tight will not pass tech inspection.

  • Make sure there are no loose or missing parts.

  • Check to make sure there are no leaks (motor oil, coolant, fork oil).

  • Coolant needs to be swapped out to an approved water based coolant. You can find the approved list on the Info page.

  • Cameras mounted to the top of the helmet are prohibited. This is for your safety. Only chin mount cameras are allowed.

  • GoPros, 360’sor any other recording devices need to be tethered to your motorcycle and or safety wired. Poles may not stick out to the side of the bike past the rider. Nothing like having the guys camera in front of you fly off and smack you at 140 mph. Trust us, you don’t wanna be that person.

  • License Plates should be removed if possible. double check that it is securely fastened.
